Porchmode

Porchmode designs and installs seasonal porches in Orange County, California. This policy explains what we collect, why, who sees it, and the choices you have. It applies to porchmode.com, our booking flow, our texts and emails, your private gallery, and your Entry Notes page.
"Porchmode," "we," and "us" mean Timothy legal name, doing business as Porchmode, business mailing address, Orange County, California.
1. The short version
- We collect what we need to book, install, and care for your porch.
- We don't sell your information.
- We share it only with the companies that help us run Porchmode (payments, texting, hosting) and, if you ask, a licensed professional you want an introduction to.
- Ad pixels stay off unless you turn them on. We honor Global Privacy Control.
- Photos of your porch stay private unless you opt in at checkout. Even then we remove house numbers, street signs, license plates, faces, names, and streets.
- Gate codes stay in your booking notes. We never text them back.
2. What we collect

We don't collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information. Porchmode isn't for children under 16 and we don't knowingly collect their information.
3. Why we use it
- To hold your window, take payment, and send receipts.
- To install, care for, and clear your porch: routing, arrival texts, photos, the gallery, the Thanksgiving Transition, clear-out, and Christmas takedown.
- To answer questions and fix problems.
- To send text-list messages (first access to dates and openings) only if you opt in.
- To introduce you to a licensed professional, only if you ask through Entry Notes.
- To feature photos of your finished porch, only if you opt in at checkout.
- To understand how the site works and improve it.
- To keep records the law requires (tax, payment, consent), prevent fraud, and protect our crews and clients.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:

Our service providers may use your information only to provide their service to us.
Text messaging. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Selling and sharing
We don't sell personal information, and we haven't in the past 12 months.
Under California law, letting advertising platforms use site activity for cross-context ads can count as "sharing." We only do it if you turn on advertising cookies. You can turn it off any time (section 9), and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to turn it off.
We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
6. Cookies, pixels, and Do Not Track
- Essential storage keeps your booking hold and session working. You can't switch it off and still book.
- Analytics are cookieless (Cloudflare Web Analytics) plus first-party booking-step counts.
- Advertising pixels (Meta, TikTok) load only after you choose "Allow" in the cookie banner.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends GPC, we keep advertising pixels off and treat it as an opt-out of sharing for that browser.
- Do Not Track: browsers' "Do Not Track" setting has no common standard. We respond by keeping advertising pixels off, the same as for GPC.
7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Know what personal information we have about you, where it came from, why we use it, and who we've shared it with.
- Get a copy of it.
- Correct it.
- Delete it, unless we must keep it (for example, tax and payment records).
- Opt out of sharing for advertising (section 9).
- Stop texts any time: reply STOP.
- Withdraw photo consent: we'll take the photos down from our site and social accounts.
We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
How to ask: email privacy@porchmode.com or hello@porchmode.com or text us with "PRIVACY." We'll confirm within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. We may verify your request by matching details from your booking, such as the mobile number and install date. You can use an authorized agent; we'll ask for proof of the authorization and may verify you directly.
9. Your Privacy Choices
- Advertising cookies: on or off in the cookie banner, any time, from the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer.
- Opt out of sharing: turning advertising cookies off, or sending a Global Privacy Control signal, opts you out of sharing for advertising.
- Featured photos: email us or reply in your booking texts to withdraw.
- Text list: reply STOP. One STOP ends every Porchmode text program for that number.

11. Security
We use encrypted connections, access controls on our admin tools, unguessable private links for galleries and Entry Notes (not indexed by search engines), and payment processing by Stripe. No system is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
12. Children
Porchmode is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us and we'll delete it.
13. Changes
We'll post any change here with a new effective date. If a change matters, we'll also tell you by email or text before it applies to information we already have.
